On any day, our 342-guest flagship, Wind Surf, the world’s largest sailing ship, draws admiring glances as she glides majestically into port with her tall sails billowing. And her beauty is far more than skin deep. During their cruise, you will find the perfect setting for ‘making an entrance’ in the beautiful reception area – and, appropriately, that’s only the beginning.

The Wind Spirit is a sleek, 4-masted sailing ship accommodating 148 guests. With four decks and a gross tonnage of 5,736, Wind Spirit feels like your own private small ship.

Wind Star sails with just 148 pampered guests in 74 total staterooms: 73 deluxe, ocean-view staterooms and 1 deluxe Owner’s Suite with queen beds and a dining/sitting area.

Carrying only 312 guests, Star Breeze is large enough to pamper and entertain you, yet small enough to tuck into delightful tiny harbours and hidden coves that others can’t reach.

Star Legend welcomes 312 pampered guests in 106 suites, including two deluxe Owners' Suites, four beautiful Classic Suites, and 100 Balcony and Ocean View suites.

With only 312 guests, a Star Pride cruise will make you feel like you're on board your own private small  ship almost as soon as you step aboard.

Surrounded by wonders like the magnificent Cinque Terre, the culturally transcendent Alhambra, and the Belem Tower monument, it is easy to fall in love with the Mediterranean. With unique itineraries and local Private Events, Windstar brings you closer to this spectacular part of the world. Cruise the Guadalquivir River, the only navigable river in Spain spanning 408 miles, to Seville. Anchor in the heart of Old Town Dubrovnik as larger cruise ships pass by. Visit a local Mediterranean market with our Windstar Chef, enjoy unique local Destination Discovery Events in interesting locales such as Giardini Naxos, Portofino, and Mallorca and see a new port almost every day with never more than one sea day. Sailings April through to November.

It’s a match made in heaven. You on your pristine white ship, sails billowing, and these islands, so impossibly colourful, like a box of crayons gone mad. Star Breeze is as at-home among Tahiti’s deserted motus and shallow lagoons as a tiare flower, and just as beautiful, furled or unfurled. Bliss knows no bounds. The sand massages your feet, warm water welcomes you like an old friend, ambition falls away as you watch the sun etch palm fronds on the beach. This is a place that is easy to love, difficult to leave, as so many before you have discovered. Come. Experience Bora Bora, Moorea, Fakarava, and other exotic Tahiti destinations you only dream about. Year-round sailings available.

Sailings with Windstar include a lot of special amenities, but one of the most fun (and unique) is the Water Sports Platform, which allows guests easy access to the ocean around them. The platform exists on each of the six ships and includes unlimited use of all water sports equipment including stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, snorkel equipment, sailing, swimming, water skiing, and windsurfing. Use of the platform is always weather permitting and only takes place in certain ports during each of the journeys.

Step away from the crowds. Away from towering decks and a thousand people, or even more. Away from lines, from waiting, away from the whole idea of group travel. Step into amazing places, relish intimate cultural experiences, and connect with the world, its people and yourself as only a small ship can help you do. This is your holiday, your own experience. As individual as you are.

Mountains erupted from the tundra, rising higher than any others in North America. Glaciers clawed their way across the landscape, scratching deep fjords into the coast and scouring archipelagos from the sea. And in the aftermath of these geologic gyrations, wildlife and marine life flourished, adapting to a land of extremes. Come. Gaze upon wondrous sheets of topaz ice and rivers thick with spawning salmon. Navigate narrow fjords whose secrets are only revealed to small ships like ours. Find your way to Russian cathedrals, Tsimshian villages, and a greater understanding of why they call this the Great Land.

Nowhere else in the world will you find such a stunning juxtaposition of ancient traditions and contemporary cultures. Mystic temples give way to soaring skyscrapers while tranquil, timeless villages neighbour pulsating, modern cities. Windstar brings you the best of both worlds, taking you to the heart of cosmopolitan marvels like Singapore, Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Tokyo and the exotic shores of small villages and unspoiled islands of Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines.

Canada & New England

Long before Columbus, Vikings crossed the Labrador Sea from Greenland to settle in L’Anse Aux Meadows. Centuries later, Portuguese fishermen, Basque whalers, French trappers, and English pilgrims would follow and discover a Promised Land where nature nurtures both body and soul. Here, where the sun first kisses North America, explorer Jacques Cartier found a place where “the scenery is indeed worth seeing and can’t be properly described in words.” The ravishing lighthouse-studded coast still inspires awe. Manna from the sea still delights palates. And small ships like ours still ply these waters with a freedom denied to larger ships.

Candy-coloured cocktails sipped in seaside watering holes. Carefree days followed by calypso-flavoured nights. These are the siren songs that lure anyone with a small ship and a yearning to escape to the incomparable Caribbean Islands. Whether you’re cruising through turquoise waters or lazing on powdery white beaches, the glamorous harbours and unknown coves of this area remain a hidden treasure. Sailings year-round.

The Acropolis at sunset. A moonlight supper at the ancient Celsus Library in Ephesus. Walking down the Street of Knights in Rhodes accompanied by the ghosts of the past. Like arms joined in a syrtakis dance, one incomparable experience follows another across the Aegean and Sea of Marmara, and your white ship gives you a front row seat to it all. Compare the rich blue of Santorini with that of the Iznik tiles in Istanbul’s Blue Mosque. Get deliciously lost in the labyrinthine lanes of medieval Rhodes. Cross the Dardanelles and Bosporus like the voyagers of old, waving first to one continent and then the other. May to September sailings available.

Fiestas are a way of life in Mexico, fitting for a country with so much to celebrate. A virtual aquarium offshore in the Sea of Cortez. Mayan temples bathed in desert light and shadow. Cuisines and coastlines that marry the smooth and soothing with the surprisingly sharp and dramatic. Come in search of trophy marlin, an authentic mole, the perfect beach, and find them all in Mexico. Along with an all-suite white-and-teak ship to frame each stunning sunset.

Northern Europe

Words like moor, loch, and geyser were born in this land, because no existing vocabulary could adequately describe these extraordinary landscapes. These regions could just as easily have coined a term for ambrosial summer evenings at seaside cafés, Fabergé palaces of amber and gold, and storybook cities crisscrossed by canals and flower markets, all of which are here in abundance. But as your elegant ship traces its way through enchanting fjords and forgotten archipelagos, you won’t need words. June to September sailings available.

Panama and Costa Rica

Natural and man-made wonders combine in this exotic region where you are an explorer by day with cocktails on the fantail of your casually elegant ship by night. Costa Rica is one of the most ecologically diverse places on earth over landscapes of rainforest, lakes, cloud forests, volcanoes, and more, boasting an impressive variety of wildlife. Learn more about their history, flora and fauna from a local Naturalist on board and transit the massive Panama Canal during daylight hours, with a memorable deckside festival. Against all this colour and adventure, your white small ship rests at anchor awaiting your return from a delightful day of exploring. December to April sailings available.
